Terms of service

These terms set out the rules for using AskCasa. Please read them together with our privacy policy.

1. Acceptance of terms and who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and YOCASA HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT LIMITED ("AskCasa", "we", "us" or "our"), registered in England and Wales under company number 16050627. Our registered office is 33 St. Anne Gardens, Basingstoke, England, RG24 9QE.

They apply to your use of the AskCasa website, applications and related services (together, the "Service"), whether you use it as a property host, a member of a host's team or a guest. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

AskCasa is a property intelligence platform for serviced accommodation. Hosts record information about their properties; guests can ask questions about their stay and receive automated answers; and host teams can use the platform to receive and manage operational tasks and issues.

AskCasa is being made available in stages. The public website is informational. Features such as accounts, sign-in with Google or Facebook, the guest concierge and paid plans apply under these Terms from the time we make them available to you. Some features depend on the plan you choose.

Guests and team members use the Service because a host has invited or authorised them. The host, not AskCasa, decides what information is provided to its guests and team and is responsible for how the Service is used at its properties.

3. Accounts and security

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for all activity under your account, including activity by team members you invite. Tell us promptly at support@askcasa.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

Signing in with Google or Facebook. Where we offer it, you may sign in with a Google or Facebook account. If you do, you are responsible for keeping that account secure, including its password, recovery options and any two-step verification. We do not receive your Google or Facebook password and we do not control those accounts. Anyone who can access your provider account may be able to access your AskCasa account.

Lost provider access. If you lose access to the Google or Facebook account you use to sign in, contact us through our support process at support@askcasa.ai. We may ask for reasonable evidence that you own the AskCasa account before restoring access or changing its sign-in methods, and we may decline to do so if we cannot verify it.

We may suspend or close an account that was opened with false information.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

5. Your content and licences

You keep ownership of the content you add to the Service, such as property descriptions, house rules, photos, video and voice recordings ("Your Content"). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce and display Your Content for the purposes of operating, securing, supporting and improving the Service for you. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, subject to normal backup expiry and any retention we are legally required to keep.

You are responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it and to let us process it, including any notices to or consents from guests and team members. Where you use AskCasa to handle guest or staff personal information for your business, you decide the purposes of that handling and are responsible for your own privacy information; see our privacy policy. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

6. AI-generated answers

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate answers and spoken responses, based mainly on the information a host has provided. AI-generated answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or suitability for any purpose.

Hosts are responsible for the information they provide, for keeping it accurate and current (for example access, check-in, house rules and safety information) and for reviewing how answers are used at their properties. Answers are not professional, legal or safety advice. The Service must not be relied on in an emergency: anyone in danger should contact the emergency services, and hosts should provide emergency and safety information to guests through appropriate channels as well.

7. Subscriptions and payments

AskCasa may offer a free plan and paid plans. The features, limits and prices of each plan are described on our pricing page when plans are available, and applicable prices and taxes are shown before you confirm a paid subscription. Prices and plan details may change; we will give reasonable advance notice before a change affects an existing paid subscription.

Payments for paid plans are processed by Stripe, an independent payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers, and Stripe's own terms and privacy notice apply to its services. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time; it continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires.

8. Third-party services

The Service works with independent third-party providers, for example Google (such as Google sign-in), Meta (such as Facebook Login) and Stripe (payments), as well as hosting, email, speech and AI providers and booking calendars you choose to connect. They are not controlled by AskCasa. Each provider's own terms and privacy policy govern your use of its services, and we are not responsible for them.

A provider may change, restrict or withdraw its service, which may affect features that depend on it. You can disconnect a provider at any time through that provider's account settings or, once available, through your AskCasa settings. Disconnecting does not by itself delete information we already hold; see our privacy policy and data deletion instructions.

9. Availability and changes

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may carry out maintenance and may change, improve or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice where practicable.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you may stop using it and close your account.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your use creates a security risk or risk to guests or others, if a payment is overdue, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put things right first.

When access ends, your right to use the Service stops. Information we hold is handled as described in our privacy policy, and you can ask us to delete it using our data deletion instructions. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply, such as those on liability and governing law, will continue to apply.

11. Intellectual property

The AskCasa platform, brand, software and documentation are owned by YOCASA HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT LIMITED or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in line with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss; (b) we are not liable for loss caused by inaccurate information in Your Content, by your reliance on AI-generated answers, or by third-party services; (c) the Service is provided "as is", and conditions and warranties implied by law are excluded; and (d) our total liability for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. General

These Terms, together with the documents they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Only you and we have rights under these Terms; no third party can enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that nothing limits any right you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in another court where the law requires that right to be preserved.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms, and requests for support, should be sent to support@askcasa.ai or by post to our registered office, marked "AskCasa terms". For privacy requests and complaints, see our privacy policy.
